Wonders will plan and build exciting, joyful works. We’ll cultivate relationships with artists and governments to create destinations that celebrate nature, civilization, and the life that unites us all.
Project brief
Wonders is exploring public art and shared places that strengthen awe, belonging, and care for the living world. Meaningful work should grow from a place and its communities, not arrive as a monument imposed from outside. Future projects would need a strong artistic idea, community consent, environmental review, accessibility, realistic maintenance, and a plan for who benefits.
Working principles
- Commission artists early and pay them fairly; treat local culture and community knowledge as part of the work.
- Minimize habitat disruption, embodied carbon, light pollution, waste, and long-term maintenance burdens.
- Design for physical, sensory, financial, and geographic access—not only visual spectacle.

Near-term milestones
- Publish an open creative brief with site, community, ecology, accessibility, and maintenance criteria.
- Host listening sessions with artists, residents, ecologists, and public-space stewards in one potential location.
- Commission a temporary, reversible prototype before pursuing a permanent installation.

Research and relationship-building. Lifeco is not yet operating a field program under this project.
